Lt. Gov. Candidate Brian Colón Releases Second TV Ad: 'College'

Democratic lieutenant governor candidate Brian Colón has released his second ad, which is being aired statewide on both network and cable TV alongside his first ad. Entitled "College," the new 30-second spot returns to the topic of education -- which Colón is clearly staking out as his signature issue as we count down the days until the June 1 primary.

"To bring good jobs to NM we need a well trained and educated work force, and this spot highlights that. It's important for voters across New Mexico to know I've got an education and training plan that prepares our children for the jobs of tomorrow, while creating the necessary learning and training opportunities for those who are facing a challenging economy today," Colón said in a statement released today.

The ad expands on the support for education that Colón mentioned in his first ad, which concentrates primarily on his bio. Colon also released an Education and Jobs Training Plan last week on Teachers' Day. In addition, last Friday he announced that he had obtained the endorsement of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) New Mexico. 

Again in this ad, Colon signs off with a phrase in Spanish, "Por sus hijos también," which means, "For your children too." See below the break for a transcript of the ad.
