We knew that President Obama would win.
My heart is aching because of the bans on gay marriage and adoption.
I am not gay but these are MY people. My people deserve to be able to have a shot at fulfillment.
I am shocked. I guess it will take more time. WE, all of us that stand for fairness and equality can not give up.
I was also disappointed at the failure of the CA citizens to roll back the insane, expensive and ineffectual drug war. I am ashamed and afraid of the unreasonable incarceration for profit in my country. Addiction is a medical issue, not a criminal one and I am tired of greed making profit from the misery of the human condition. We can not afford to keep building prisons in this nation. Some think that prisons provide employment but it is a toxic profession/industry that at a critical mass will harm our culture and social psyche.
