NM-03: Luján to Hold Town Hall Tonight in Las Vegas

From Luján for Congress:
Public Regulation Commissioner and Congressional candidate Ben R. Luján invites Las Vegas residents to a town hall today to discuss the issues that are important to them. The town hall will be held at Memorial Middle School Auditorium, 947 Old National Road, at 6 PM on Saturday, April 5. Doors will open at 5:30 PM. The meeting is part of his Standing Up for New Mexico Tour, in which the candidate will visit every county in the 3rd Congressional District at least once before the June 3 Democratic primary.

"I want to stand up for the people who make New Mexico great. This campaign is about people, and we want to talk to New Mexicans about what's important to them," Commissioner Luján said.

I think Commissioner Lujan has been working hard, he has been traveling around the state and introducing himself to the people of New Mexico. I believe it is important to have a congressman/ or congresswoman that can relate to the issues of the district. Commissioner Lujan had lived in New Mexico his entire life, he understands Native American issue, veterans issues and low income family issues. He was not raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and therefore understands how hard the people of our district work to keep our acequias clean, the land nourished and our families fed. I value Congressman Udall and all he has done for our district but I think it is time we have someone from our district to represent us in Washington!
