NM-03: New 'Wiviott in Depth' Video
Don Wiviott, a Dem running for Congress in NM-03, has just released a new extended video introduction (above) that gives him a chance to tell prospective voters a little more about himself, what he believes in and why he's running for the U.S. House seat in Northern New Mexico. About five and half minutes long, the video shows Wiviott on the road, talking to groups and explaining his take on the campaign and what's needed in Washington. It also features supporters talking about why they plan to vote for Don.
I like it, and I think this approach can be very useful in breaking through to voters by going around the kind of traditional media that doesn't cover local political news in much depth. Check it out and see what you think.

I want to know who Don supports for President. I have heard he is telling people he supports Obama yet he maxed donated to Hillary in late January. So where does he stand and is he justing playing politics and telling people what they want to hear? I think he seems to be a nice guy but I worry when people start saying things because they want a vote not what they really believe. Just me though, if you want to know about his donations here is the link: https://moneyline.cq.com/pml/search.do?indivName_0=wiviott&matchType_0_indivName=c&electionCycleId=15

I couldn't get your link to work but I searched his name myself and found only his donation to Bill Richardson's presidential campaign.
I like both Wiviott and Lujan but I don't like that Lujan supporters seem to be relying on negative accusations to help their candidate instead of showing how their candidate's positions and character are assets.

Sorry about the link problem, I don't typically provide links cause I am not familiar with how to adequately use them in these types of forums. You can go to https://moneyline.cq.com/pml/home.do and search by last name to find out who a candidate has donated to. I see he has donated to Heinrick, the Guv, the National Senate Campaign and Hillary Clinton.
I wouldn't characterize my comments as negative accusations but a simple inquiry, I believe a person has a right to support whomever they chose. I believe that the Democrats are blessed this year with actual choice. We have two qualified and intelligent candidates for President and not someone who we have to settle for (or someone who believes in following Bush anywhere is a good idea!). My issue is simply this: If you support Obama or Hillary because they are the candidate of your choice, great! If you are undecided because they are both good candidates great! Just don't tell one group that you support their candidate because you believe it is what they want to hear, while you are financially supporting the other candidate.

I see, the others show up with a search on his last name, not when you search on his full name.
Can you reveal who Don has been telling that he's an Obama supporter? Anyone can say "I have heard he is telling people" anything. "I have heard Ben Lujan is telling people he has an identical twin" lol.
Anyway, I don't vote for or against a candidate because of who they support for president. I support them because they share my positions, have the proper background like a college degree, and are running a campaign based on the issues.

I couldn't agree with Old Dem more. It seems to me that Lujan and his supporters are resorting to desperate negative tactics to spread disinformation about Don.
"Politics as usual" from an opponent who is scared.
By reviewing this database, it is clear that Don has supported Richardson for President and Clinton. How do we know he hasn't supported Obama? Why are we supposed to base our opinion of him on the opposition's rumor mongering?
Regardless, I'm supporting Don because he clearly represents a change from the tired dirty tricks campaign of Lujan.

Don Wiviott has contributed to the Presidential campaigns of Bill Richardson, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Frankly, we don't care who Wiviott supports for president. This campaign is about Commissioner Lujan's record of standing up for New Mexicans, working to raise renewable-energy requirements in this state, protecting the environment, and protecting New Mexico consumers.
Judging from comments on this blog, it is others who are trying to wage a dirty-tricks campaign against Commissioner Lujan, not the other way around.

Supporters from both campaigns are saying what you'd expect them to say in a race like this. What they say about their candidate and the rival is pretty darn predictable. I doubt voters will be making their decisions based on them!
