New Gore Videos: Is He Running?
Yesterday, Al Gore added three short, campaign style videos to Current.com, the online website of the cable TV channel he helped found. As far as I can tell, he's never done this before. What does it signal? Watch them and then you tell me:
- He's for universal, single-payer health care: Health Care Is a Right
- He thinks we need more protection against government surveillance: Americans Deserve More Protection
- He wants to bring the troops home as quickly as possible: Get the Troops Home

This is very interesting. I think he's running. I hope he's running!

I agree. This was very exciting to see.
And, of course, we can't ignore the excellent positions he has on these very important issues.
Superman wears Al Gore pajamas.

There are good discussions on these videos going on on current.com, DailyKos.com, and democraticunderground.com. The consensus seems to be that these videos are hopeful signs that Al may be running. But the consensus is far from universal. Al has just kicked up the volume of the pleas. On the Kos poll, I voted that he's just messing with the minds of his supporters. Hope is a hard thing to maintain these days. But if anyone can get me re-energized, it would be Al.

According to the BBC, reporting on an interview Gore did with NRK, a Norwegian broadcaster, Gore has again said he "would not make a fresh bid for the White House."
Damn it.

I read somewhere that he'd be more likely to run if he saw Hillary stumbling because he's have more of a chance to win. I think he's being too careful, but then I'm not the one who would have to take the grief from all the pundits and Republicans. He would make a top notch president and even more important a presidential leader.
