Excellent news. Read all about it.
Save Darfur is very pleased. They sent him on the mission.
There's a diary and Richardson statement at Daily Kos.

Even if it doesn't hold (and these things never seem to), he's adding to his presidential candidate resume.
Right now he may not be the potential candidate most likely to win the Dem nomination, but with his state executive, Congressional, and international affairs experiences, he may be the most qualified to actually hold the office.

Regardless of how this impacts his run for president, the attention he will draw to the tragic circumstances there can only help make it better. At least I hope so!

I don't know what kind of chance Richardson has for president, but he sure would make an excellent secretary of state at the very least. What a difference from the awful Condi Rice.
