State Democratic Party Resolutions Committee Saturday Will Make Or Break Resolutions

From Meredith Dixon at the Democratic Party of NM:

The State Resolutions Committee meeting will be on Saturday April 16, 2005 at 8:30 AM at the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Hall (510 San Pedro SE).

Please attend if you are interested in discussing/debating the resolutions that will be presented to the State Central Committee.

***This is the meeting for debating resolutions***

Editor's Note: Since time will be limited at the State Central Committee meeting on Saturday, April 23rd, THIS is the place where all county resolutions will be presented, discussed, debated and voted upon by Committee members regarding whether each resolution will go on to the State Central Committee for adoption or not.

If you are interested in promoting any particular resolutions, please attend this meeting and make your case. This will be the opportunity for anyone interested to be present and encourage or dissuade the committee on the resolutions.

I guess that tells us how imortant the resolutions are. The DPNM web site says of the State Central Committee meeting that "The primary purpose of this meeting is to hear from our Democratic elected leaders, elect new State officers, and adopt resolutions." The meeting is scheduled to last just 3 hours. It will adjourn at 1pm because passover starts at sundown that day. Surely they couldn't take time away from hearing from Leaders in order to discuss resolutions.
Sorry, I think I'm cranky again today.

Who is this Meredith Dixon at the state party? I have heard many great things about her from many different people among the progressive community? Does she work with a teddy bear of a man named Jason? Both of them are so proactive and good about communicating state party happenings. We're lucky to have them!

Many thanks to this website, you should put a tip jar up to defray some of your expenses.

I've known Meredith since the Kerry campaign when she worked with the volunteers. She is indeed a well-respected person at the DPNM by most of the grassroots people I know.

I don't know what her official title is but she is some kind of regional volunteer coordinator and does a wonderful job of keeping us informed and active. And yes, Jason is one of her colleagues.
