Howard Dean on DFA, the DNC and Tomorrow's Meetup
Democracy for America (DFA) has released a video of Howard Dean in conjunction with our DFA-DFNM Meetups tomorrow. Dr. Dean speaks to us about the status of the Democratic Party and where it needs to move to win, his views on the possibility of running for DNC Chair and how we can help DFA grow and be successful in future. Click here to view a Windows or Quicktime video clip.
DFA has also annouced it's working with Toys for Tots to collect toys and distribute them to needy children in the community this holiday season. For more information about this program in New Mexico, click here.
In December, DFA is also encouraging Meetup groups to plan DFACorps activities for the holiday season. On December 11th and 12th, they are planning a National Weekend of Action where DFA groups around the country will participate in a variety of community service activities. We'll be discussing ideas for this soon. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that was excellent at the Old Town tree lighting and all. Remember the Foodies? It was great fun and I recall we passed out tons of Dean bumperstickers and buttons.
Maybe we should carol at nursing homes or something. Though the way I sing, it might be painful!

Hey, if y'all want to carol in nursing homes, I can put you in touch with the activities director in my mom's old nursing home. Or maybe there's something else you all could do for the nursing home population. I'll think about this one...
Let me know if there's anyway I can help from over here across the pond. (Foodies are coming to visit me next week. We're going tasting at local pubs!)

Favorite Song: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (By Judy Garland, from the movie Meet Me In St. Louis)
Kath, help us on this one. I know a buncha people want to carol because it lets us have some fun during the holiday season, but we could combine it with some help that's more substantial.
Wish you were still here in person to join us! We miss you!
